How does the tolerance analysis work? (page 2 of 3) When the first step is done the complete process of production, assembly and measuring is built up. Input data are on the one hand the nominal 3D geometry with the tolerances (datums, GD&T) and on the other side the positioning, fixing and measuring concepts. Further parameters concerning the statistical items (cpk, mean, standard deviation, distribution) can be considered (even the real measurement results). Then the simulation (Monte-Carlo-Simulation) of the tolerance effected assembly on basis of these input data is effected. In doing so the statistical calculation gives the output of significant contributors. |
